Artist Statement
I try to paint feelings not objects or places. Colors and shadows and shapes. I'm drawn to simple compositions. Architecture, boats, everyday scenes and items. Only the suggestions and implication of activity - interior or exterior possibilities. What's going on? Who might live there? What time of day? I think I know what that is!
I love to paint - the process of placing pigments on a painting surface is relaxing and creatively rewarding. Sharing the results is the final part of that process.
